Maui Beach Wedding Locations (Public)

Private Maui Wedding Locations

Maui Hotel Weddings

Maui Wedding Chapels

Our Maui beach wedding locations are, for the most part, "off the beaten path."  They all photograph beautifully.  The sites with grassy areas for the wedding ceremony do attract more general public than areas without grass. All Southside Maui wedding location sites are either in Wailea or within 5 minutes of Wailea, 15 minutes of Kihei and 1 hour plus from Lahaina/Kaanapali.

Grassy Knoll

Wailea Beach

Wailea Beach is a beautiful grassy knoll, situated between two hotels, The Grand Wailea Resort and Spa, and The Four Seasons Resort.  This is definitely one of the prettiest spots.  It has lots of palm trees in view and a great beach, plus public restrooms.  This is our first choice for grassy knoll sites.  The ceremony takes place on the knoll and we go on to the beach for final photos.  It has very easy access.

South Maui Beaches: Kihei, Wailea, Makena

Beach Wedding Location: Keawakapu Beach in Kihei MauiKeawakapu Beach, (left) in Kihei Maui, is typical of the soft, white sandy beaches you'll find in sunny South Maui.

Makena Surf Beacha beautiful beach with a nice entrance through the gate and grounds of Makena Surf Condos.  Great for large parties.  Limited parking.  Gate is locked 20 minutes after sunset.

Makena Surf Secret Beacha quaint cove situated below the Makena Surf Condos.  A beautiful spot with lava rocks flowing into the water.  Good for up to about 15 people.  Easy access.  Gate is locked 20 minutes after sunset

Mokapu/Ulua Beach located in Wailea.  A pretty spot with public restrooms.  We use this for catered dinners on the beach.

Makena Cove a gorgeous cove, and the #1 public beach for weddings.  We try and use this only for morning weddings.

Paipu Beach — the beach itself is our most remote, spectacular beach. Strictly sand here, no grass. Paipu is a short walk from the parking lot, 100 yards over a small hill with lava rocks to negotiate to this gorgeous spot.  Flat shoes are required to walk over the rocks.

Paluaea Beach — a beautiful spot in Wailea, one of our favorites, very pristine.

Poolenanea Beach — a really wonderful long beach but it is not good for holiday weekends because it is popular with the local fishermen.

South Maluaka Beach—A pretty Maui wedding location with a lush grassy area, located at the South end of the Maui Prince Hotel beach.  Most ceremonies take place on the lawn area, which has some palm trees, and various tropical vegetation.  It has a nice more secluded area for ceremonies or a small point for ceremonies. This park attracts the public, has picnic benches and restrooms.  We rarely use this as it draws too many weddings.

West Maui Beaches: Lahaina, Ka‘anapali, Kapalua

Ironwood Beach — a spectacular remote beach near Kapalua.  The most secluded spot on the West side, but rain and wind are common place.

Kahekili Beach Park  — a long stretch of beach just north of black rock.  Public restrooms available.  Can be windy, passing rain showers and popular spot for beach goers.  Easy access .

Kapalua Bay Beach — a beautiful beach.  The hotel is being renovated so it can be a bit noisy.  Can have passing rain showers.

Lahaina Baby Beach — located in the heart of Lahaina town.  The beach is hard packed with a reef about 200 yards off shore, which means not any shore break at this spot.  This is a great spot for those wanting to stay in town for their wedding.  Easy access.

Napili Bay — a beautiful beach in West Maui, but does have a lot of beachgoers. Can have wind and passing showers

North Shore Maui Beaches: Kuau

Mama’s Fishhouse Beach — located on the beach in front of the famous Mama’s Fishhouse Restaurant in Kuau about 10 minutes past the airport on the Hana Hwy.  This is a charming beach with palm trees and a small lawn area.  Great photo opportunities abound here.  It faces north, so you won’t see the sun setting on the horizon, but it is a beautiful spot and great for those in for just a short time and staying in Kahului.  Easy access.  Plan on dining at the restaurant afterwards, as it is required with use of their grounds.
